To assure the sanitation and safety of recreational camps in our community, the Lawrence County Health Department licenses and inspects all Recreational Vehicle Parks, Combined Park-Camps, Temporary Park-Camps and Resident Day Camps for compliance with state regulations including but not limited to construction, installation, lot size, waste disposal and operation.

Campgrounds in Ohio are regulated under the authority of Chapter 3729 of the Ohio Revised Code (ORC) and Chapter 3701-26 of the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC)
